I'm about to purchase the kdf55wf655 and have been searching the online stores for a decent price. I"ve seen as high as $3299 to low price of $2308. I was gonna go with electronics-expo.com (they had it for like $2388 + $250 shipping) since they are authorized sony dealear but the set has been out of stock for few weeks now. They seem to have high ratings from pricegrabber and resellerratings as well. Anyone have experience with them? I also was considering purchasing from AuthorizedElectronics.com which sell the set for 2308 + $215 shipping to California. Anyone deal with them? Don't think they are authorized dealer though. Onecall.com is pretty good with their price right now but it would it be like $300 more than the above mention sites. Any other sites I should consider? Any feedback would be helpful.

The experience with OneCall was great, price was more than competitive, delivery exceeded my expectations, and followup by OneCall after the sale to make sure I was satisfied was an unexpected but welcome bonus. For an online retailer, these guys "get it".

Got my digicam (about half the price of an HDTV) and digital point and shoot from onecall. Their service is excellent. And delivery amazingly fast.
Vann's is another to consider. They have very high marks. I think that particular Sony model is either out of stock (temporarily) or only available for local retail at onecall. But either situation is subject to change. Many of the stores, including CC and GoodGuys are scrambling to match online deals as well as provide the Sony financing plans where available. It could be worth the sales tax for an easy to return situation. If you do online, it is probably worth a little more for White Glove service. I could be wrong, but if the set does not power up, or obvious 'breakage' they will take it back. But any other problems after delivery have to be handled by warranty only. If they do accept a return, you will be paying for the shipping (except for breakage in transit). Which many times could still be less than state tax. If you do go Sony, ordering from Sonystyle is the most troublefree, but you will pay the highest price even for on sale items. And the folks on the other end of the phone will not be as friendly as onecall, etc. I should say very friendly on ordering, very cold on returns. Your mileage may vary. |

I got the 60" at ABC Warehouse for $2900 out the door. There is a lot of mark up. I would try to beat up the local saleman and see what deal you can get.
