I have a few quick ?'s for everyone who is familiar with or has this model 50" Sony LCD...I just ordered the Dish 811 HD box during the Dishin it Up promotion and want to be sure I get it hooked up optimally to my TV. I'm assuming I'll hook it up either component or DVI...I'm good to go with the component option, but I dont really have any experience with the DVI options on this TV, I've never used it. Can I use it to hook it up to the Dish 811 (assuming the 811 has DVI output, maybe it doesn't even have it). If so, what type of cable/converters will I need. I know there are several DVI standards out there (DVI-I, DVI-D)...what type is on the TV and the 811? Any and all advice/input on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

no one has the 50" Sony GWIII series...I'd like some insight into the DVI cables/adapters necessary to install the 811 to this set...

I have the same tv and dish 811, which does have dvi. I use dvi for the 811 and component for my zenithdvb318 player that upconverts. No sure if the dvi cable came with the 811 or not, if not just pick one up from a local store. If you want to reserve the dvi for a dvd player that only upconverts with dvi, then use component for the 811. Not much of a difference either way in my opinion.
