Hi, Im new here.
Just wanted to share my SUCCESS with Onecall.com; TV came in 2 days delivered to my door. The site is secure and easy to use. I'm very happy with their service. No sales tax either. A friend told me about them, said I'd save money. And Boy oh Boy, I saved over $700 and got free shipping on my Samsung 50" DLP. I went to Circuit City to see what one looked like, felt sorta bad (for a brief second) when I told the salesman i wasnt interested. |

I paid about $2550 for my KDF50WE655 from Circuit City. How did you manage getting the 55" for so little? I found the Circuit City experience to be strange to say the least. The KDF50WE655 was $2999 but they matched Tweeters price to $2699 and then took off a little less. Day later (Sunday), it was reduced to $2699 so they credited me another 5%-the reason I can't even remember. My purchase was on a 24 month no interest promotion.
The next week, the price of my TV was advertised for $2999 with a $300 gift card! And, a week ago they were advertising it for $2699 with 48 months equal payments (including the full amount of interest spread out over the four years!!!). Aaargh! I have an interesting story about my purchase from Overstock.com. They were fantastic, very helpful customer service. The problem was with BEKINS who was used to deliver the set. Their subsidiary for home delivery has me irritated to the point of no return. I am mos t likely going to cancel my order because of them.
They were supposed to deliver my set last wednesday by 10AM, but didn't. They resceduled for Saturday AM, and never showed up or called. Monday they said they'd call me back to setup a delivery window, and never did. I finally got ahold of them Tuesday and was told the delivery would happen that day, but they could give me a window. I explained I would be available ALL day except for 3-4PM because of a tax appointment. The woman said she would make sure to note that. So what time to the drivers call me, RIGHT at 3PM as I am going into my appointment. They said they cannot deliver later that day at all. I call their manager and trying to retain as much calm as I could, lit into him. He said that I should have been available and that his delivery men can not accomidate my meetings! I let him know that if they hadn't blown me off multiple times already, this wouldn't be a problem!! Last he said, they "MIGHT" be able to deliver my set Saturday. I called Overstock.com and they were awesome. A supervisor has actually been calling me to check up on things. At this point though, I am cancelling my order (unless it is delieverd in the next day or two). I can only take so much before I give up. Upside, Overstock.com rocks. Downside, avoid BEKINS moving or ANY related company at ALL costs!! Seth |

An update if anyone cares...
They now want to deliver the set NEXT wednesday a full 2 weeks after the initial delivery date. No apologies what-so-ever. I am buying elsewhere! Overstock is refunding me 100% though, so at least thats good. Its sucks though because it's liek waiting for Christmas and it keeps getting pushed back. The REALLY suck part is that I don't know if the VOOM installation deal will still be available by the time I finally get the set!! |

I am not sure if they will be happy that I mentioned this, and your results may vary......
I have been reading what seems like millions of user reviews and pro reviews on the Sony KDF55WF655 and settled on it for my living room. I had heard a lot of good things about Onecall.com for a long time and decided to risk a scary freight delivery from Tacoma to Chicago. In any case, the best deal that Onecall has was $2970 delivered, which was still several hundred cheaper than the B&M's when you figure the tax and all that in. I was ready to pull the trigger and found another Authorized Sony dealer (Electronics-expo.com) had it for $2553 delivered. I emailed Onecall and they said they would not match it because EE did not appear on the list of vendors that they would price match. So the next day I called and talked to one the sales guys and he said the same thing, but I still pleaded my case with him and he went and talked to his boss and they decided to do it. So, bottom line is, I got the KDF55 with the 5 year warranty and delivery for $2888. It just showed up yesterday. They put it on ABF which wound up taking a week to deliver (FedEx says 3 days), but it looked great and there were no dings or anything on the box and it was well packed on a skid and banded several times. They way I figure it, I saved about $1000 over BB or CC. So it worked out for me. Good luck! |

I buy all of my high-tech gear online because the prices are so much better (even with shipping).
That all changed yesterday, however. Last week I was planning to buy a Mitsubishi 52525 high-def TV from an online retailer for about $2600.00. The local Best Buy had the set for 2700.00 (+ tax) so I figured I would be getting a pretty good deal. Last night I decided to take one more look at the set, and to my surprise Best Buy had it on sale for $2600.00. PLUS, there was a $500.00 rebate, effectively bringing the price down to $2100.00. While I was standing there feeling lucky, four adults came in and started complaining that they had seen this same set for $1999.00 a few days earlier. (Probably a mistake.) I jokingly chimed in that I had seen that price, too. The salesman headed off to check on a few things and when he came back he announced, "We have three of these in the warehouse. You both can have them for $1999.99." We both said, "Hell, yes!" We tend to have the TV on for at least 16 hours a day, so I picked up Best Buy's EXCELLENT service plan. They will replace our bulbs for free for the next four years. And if they have to come out more than four times they will bring us a new TV! Shopping local was definitely the best way to go in this case! |

Hello!
Wow..my first post! I just received my 70" sony xbr from fotoconnection.com. I was extremely apprehensive about spending $4895 on a tv set, having it shipped to california from NY, but I have to honestly say it was quite the pleasant experience. of course, they try to get you to but extras..but not to the point of being over aggresive. They followed through with everything they said they would, and even shipped out a new hdmi cable immediatly, as they sent the wrong one. I figured I saved at least 2k on the deal. Tomorrow will be the big day. BTW..the box was pristine, they opened it in my driveway, and it is perfect. I may be one of the lucky few who had a nice experience. I will follow up manada! |

I bought my Toshiba 52hm94 dlp set and stand two months ago from BuyDig.com and it was also shipped by manna .com and I can say only good things about how they both handled my order,I would use them again for sure. The toshiba dlp is more outstanding than I expected,I feel there is no better dlp out there, even the regular sat signal without Hd is pretty good. And outstanding picture from the roof antenna in HD.

Hi, sorry if this has been posted earlier on this thread. Has anyone checked out www.resellerratings.com ? It gives people's responses to online merchants.
However, my May 2005 purchase from ecost.com was a good one. TV arrived overnight as promised and in perfect shape. Yet customer ratings at ecost was not too good. I think the store tries to sell just too much at one time. Still I was able to get through by phone to customer support without any unduly long wait times... Also, the store review in terms of stars while searching on cnet shopper or yahoo shopping, is a useful guide to use. Roger |
