Default OneCall

Onecall was my most recent purchase....and although the sale went smooth as could be (phone order Sony HDTV) the shipping they used absolutely S U C K E D! Really the freight company ABF sucks. I normally don't get irate at the little things in life that are..."life things that happen". This however was....like having cable installed....or.....waiting in the drivers’ license bureau. I was scheduled for work the day of delivery, which was my choice. So….I ask for a set time…no set time was possible ...”just be at that address between 9:00pm -5:00pm” said the dispatcher. So I took off work and missed 11/2 days worth of over-time Driver didn’t show til 7:15 that evening. Freight company, ABF freight couldn’t have cared less.
I could’ve been at work all day. No calls to explain that driver was running late, no real apology as to what was at hand and a dispatcher that just didn’t understand how much money I lost by sitting on my butt waiting for their over-worked driver to deliver my TV. As you can tell I’m alittle hot over this deal. Onecall will get my response……as stated a smooth sale but a horribly crumby freight/delivery service

Default Tigerdirect

I recently purchased a Toshiba DLP 62hm196 at Tigerdirect.com. For $1799.99 they delivered the tv to my living room. From the time I placed the order till the time the tv arrived was about 8 days, so I was quite happy.

So far so good, the tv looks great with cable and great with my xbox 360.

I just purchased the HL-S5687W from onecall.com, and I must say, they are EXCELLENT! Along with their shipping company, ABF!

I originally ordered the set from tvauthority.com, but after many trials and tribulations with them, I was forced to cancel my order and go another route. You can check out my thread about it Just ordered a Samsung 5687w 1080p.

So, I decided to order my tv through onecall.com instead. I explained my plight to them and told them how I was hoping to get my set in time for the superbowl because I noticed they were running a special that said if I ordered by Jan. 28, they could guarantee delivery of my set by Friday (today) in time for the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, because of my dealings with TV authority (and them fraudulently charging my card before they shipped the set ) I didn't have the money available on my card to charge it. My sales rep, Lee, told me he would keep an eye out on my order, and as soon as the charges cleared off, he would place the order.

Well, the 29th rolls around, (Monday) and Lee calls me on my cell phone (great service) and tells me the charges are cleared and he can place the order, but unfortunately he doesn't think the set will make it in time since it has passed the 28th and I am all the way in Chicago. I tell him to go ahead with the order, and at this point I'm resigned to my fate of not being able to watch the big game on my new set.

Fast forward to today, and lo and behold, my set has already arrived at ABF's distribution center a few miles from my house! I called ABF up, and they said that I can come in and pick up my set from their docks tonite when i get off work! This is the best news I could have asked for! onecall and ABF delivered big time! TVAuthority is HORRIBLE and I would encourage nobody to EVER order from them!

Default Dbuys Used Car Salesman Outfit.

I placed order for Samsung 61" DLP set January 20th. Got order confirmation January 22. Called them the same day with question when unit will ship. Answer 24-48 hours. Today after more than 3 weeks after they charged my credit card and 4 phone calls with warious excuses and lies finelly admited that they do not have it in the stock and do not know when it will be available. Their web site is still claiming units in stock with 3-5 days shipping. What a trash. Stay away. I canceled order and purchased the same unit from Onecall. I hope for the best but after reading numerous positive feedback I am cautiosly optimistic. My card now shows charge for two sets. Will see how long it will take to get me refund from DBUYS.

Default OneCall/ABF shipping

As stated in the above listed thread from myself regarding OneCall and ABF shipping company I now have a follow-up to post. Apparently after OneCall read my customer response and verified the comments to be valid I received a call from their customer service dept. the other day. The were/are very concerned with customer satisfaction, something internet sales companies that want to survive and prosper should be concerned with. I'm impressed with their reponse and concern over this matter. I had been shopping for my purchase for some time and when this experience happened w/ABF I was not happy at all. OneCall's customer service dept. responded to this matter and resolved it rather quickly. I would definitely recommend OneCall as a 'Stand Up' customer orientated internet sales company!

Default 1080PZone!!

I can only say that 1080Pzone is the best if you're living in socal and want a sweet deal with free delivery and no tax.

I'm happy to testify in case anyone is looking for someone local, but this guy can't be beat. He's cheaper than any of the online retailers and he'll deliver, setup, and take away the trash. I ordered my Samsung on Friday and got it setup by Tuesday.

Default Tigerdirect

I purchased a Sammy 42" from Tigerdirect.
TV was shipped via Roadway Freight

Check via Roadway's website to track the TV.
Expected Delivery Date: 1/29

It's the 29th and 5:00 p.m. and NO TV.

I once again check the tracking status. It shows the TV as DELIVERED.

I almost freaked out. I call Roadway immediately.

The CSR calls dispatch which than calls the driver.

Somewhere there was a mistake and the TV was accidently marked as delivered.

A rep of Roadway told me that the TV would be redelivered on the 30th in the morning.

The morning of the 30th (@ 7:30 a.m.) I check the tracking status.
It says, "package sitting at XXXX dock in Chicago, IL"

I call Roadway to figure out what's going on. The lady tells me that all the drivers have been dispatched and the earliest the TV can be delivered is 31st.

*Sidenote: Tigerdirect has an B&M store in Naperville, IL. I stay in N.W. Indiana. The total distance is 40 miles. I don't own a vehicle large enough to fit a DLP TV. *

Here is the kicker. She tells me that they tried to deliver the set on the 29th and no one was at home.

I run a home business and was at home all day. No one came.

She then proceeds to tell me that there will be a redelivery fee.
I tell her no there won't, I was at home all day.

She then tells me that she will look into it and call me back.
I receive a phone call two hours later and delivery is scheduled for the 31st.

She finally apologizes for the inconveince and informs me that there will be no redelivery fee.

The 31st arrives and I check the status, it shows the package as out for delivery.

Jan 31st 9:00 a.m. Roadway truck pulls up. Driver kindly unloads my TV and brings it in the house. Even took his shoes off (just had new carpet installed: which he noticed).

I hook up the TV to an OTA antenna. After looking at the stunning picture, I forget/forgive everything that happenned.

Red face Best Buy delivery

I also purchased a TV from Best Buy online. The scheduling options worked well, the TV was delivered as expected, and the delivery crew unpackeged everything, setup the TV, and took away the packaging. I was very satisfied.

I even gave the guys $20 to move my old set into the garage.

Default High Def TV Purchase on the internet

After researching many internet companies with several Better Business Bureaus on the east coast, purchased a 65" Mitsubishi Diamond series DLP, matching TV stand and Toshiba HD-A2 high def DVD player from Walt's TV in Arizona. Not only did they have the best prices at the time, they are one of the few internet companies that are BBB members and have had a clean history with the bureau. I had abolutely no problems with the purchase and shipping of the items from Walt's TV, and would recommend them to anyone.

Talking online failure with tv authority

hi, glad to share info

i ordered the samsung ln-4095 lcd tv
by phone from tv authority on 1/15/07. the sales
rep said it was in stock. i paid for 3-5 day shipping
total was 1,810.10 and should have received it by 1/22/07.
the tv wasn't delivered so i called tv authority to see what
happened. sales rep said it was out of stock and deliveries
were expected to warehouse in early feb-07 but no set
date given. the rep said they would refund 3-5 day shipping
fee. i got fed up and cancelled the order on 2/3/07. the charge
should have been credited back to my card within 3-5 days i
was told didn't happen i called again same result. credit card company suspended the charge for 6 weeks while they investigate
this transaction. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM TV AUTHORITY!!!!
i ordered the toshiba 42lx196 tv from dtv.com. dtv.com is an authorized dealer everything was as promised i got the tv in 3days
no problems. staff keeps you informed during whole process and the

Ordered my Panasonic 50" DLP from Butterfly Photo (Nov 2004) for $2287.00. Plus Shipping $180 ($ 1,000 better than best price here locally (Las Vegas). Arrived in perfect condition.

Trucking company brought it in my house and took it out of the box for inspection. Very good service - arrived quickly. Very good TV and no problems for over 2 years.

Check it out.

I used tiger direct and got a 27 inch hdtv/wide screen view sonic LCD.
Over all the purchase was smooth, delivery was faster then expected. The set arrived in one piece and the delivery folks brought it in house took it out of it's packaging . I was able to inspect it before signing for it.
I noticed something right away was view sonic does not recognize the universal remote code system . What a bummer.
I also noticed i got no packaging slip from tiger direct and no recit conformation with e mail.
I spent nearly 45 minutes on the phone tracking down a email confirmation. Eventually they sent me one. However the order was someone with my last name but not my address and not what I ordered ( still have no package slip or email confirmation).
My lesson learned was while on line in many cases is cheaper, it is not worth the head ace, of no live person to deal with.
Will be replacing another set soon and intend using brick and mortar only. Making sure i have a recit and decent warranty.

Talking Great experience!!!

I just received my 60” Sony KDS A-2020 from JR’s Music and Computers (www.jr.com). I found the TV on pricegrabber for $2299 plus $97 for shipping for a total of $2396, so I placed my order. JR’s called to confirm the order two days after I submitted it. They then called back the next day to tell me they made a mistake with the shipping price, because they had the TV being shipped by UPS but it needed to ship freight. Naturally they had to raise the price of the shipping cost, but it didn’t cost me anything, because the price of the TV was lowered to make up the difference. My wife and I were presently surprised by this. The CSR acknowledged their mistake and said he wasn’t going to penalize us because of it. I received the TV a few days later in perfect condition. I would recommend JR’s to anyone looking for a good deal and superior customer service.

They are also a Sony authorized online dealer. I wouldn't order a product from anyone who's not authorized by the manufacturer to sell their product. I've heard to many warranty horror stories to take that chance.

Thumbs up Vann's

Bought a 70" JVC from vanns.com. Paid approx. $5000. Fast shipping, less than a week from MT to FL. I was nervous about spending this much on a TV sight unseen but I am so glad I did. Way to go Vann's.
