Really well run outfit. Good website, Great interpersonal communication on the phone. Purchased a Pioneer 4360 plasma, no troubles whatsoever, excellent pricing. This place will go a long way to dispel your hesitation about on-line electronics purchases. cd

Default Buydig.com online

Tried to order a sony sxrd 50inch, website showed instock, called them to check and they also said yes they had it in stock, well first problem starts off with billing, said my card was declined, checked with my card company and they said they ran the card to see if it was good and it was ok, but they never tried to bill me. I called them back and they said yes they did try, well this went on for 3 days and went back to my account online and it said the tv was not instock, I canceled my order and went to a local store to purchase. I didn't get a good vibe from this company from the first call and I was right

I have purchased the Samsung 50" DLP from onecall.com because of the feedback I read on this thread. It will be delivered on the 14th, and I will post pics and give an update then.

With the TV, shipping and 3 year warranty the total was $1943. The same deal at BB was $2692 and $2584 at CC. Besides a Dell computer, this is the largest purchase I have made online.

Bestbuy buying Samsung DLP 50". I ordered 2 months in advance to get it there at a date when I would be at my new home. They called the day before as a reminder, gave me a 4 hour interval, and came smack in the middle.

They set it up for me without any issues, and even reminded me to get a HDMI or DVI cable (which I had).

Sale price was something like 1899.

Only complaint is that they left that god awful large box!

Onecall was great. One shockwatch was active but the other was not. One slight crease in the corner of the box, but that was it. Now that I have a decent OTA antenna, I can't wait for an HD receiver and DVR.

I purchased the Sony KDFE42A10 42" LCD Projection from Onecall for $1499 shipped. They are commision based so call to get a better deal that what the website advertises. Ordered Tuesday, arrived Friday morning (WV warehouse to central PA). Arrived in excellent condition, no damage to box and two clear shockwatch tags. I would absolutely buy from Onecall again.

All I can say is if price is the bottom line over service go for it!
There are so many things that can go wrong with an retailer why chance it unless you know someone has had experience with them.

I'd rather pay a bit more and stick with the 'tried & true'. But then I've never made real big ticket item purchases online, except a $1200 videocam from onecall.com.

According to one of the experts around here - the online prices are the same the distributor prices to the retailers - and the online dealer is satisfied to make what he can on just the handling charges -think ebay - as long as actual shipping + handling is not exhorbitant (over $100 extra) sounds like a plan! -Manufacturer should be able to tell you if he is an authorized dealer - just don't rat him out by telling them his price.
When I filled out the order form it showed just $50 max shipping for a

so shipping quoted is extra reasonable and it also says free on most us orders - post your experience if you use them http://arite-international.com and you don't work for them

poking around a little more I see they don't have any address - there is a foreign phone number listed @ 628 1806 900 754
but the main catch seems to be they won't accept credit cards until after you have spent over $1000 using their normal payment method
Quote:
Can I make payment using my credit card ?
Yes. But only ARITE Preferred Customers (APC).
Why I can not make payment using my credit card ?
The payment/order process, we have developed very private, and secure for both side, remember to much fraud activies we only accept credit card from ARITE Preferred Customers (APC) only
How can I become a ARITE Preferred Customer (APC)?
You should complete a minimum of $1000 in purchasing transactions with us, for you to be automatically granted the APC status
- the price on that Sony 60" LCD was about half the Amazon price - Lotsaluck

I just bought a Sony KD-34XBR970 34" FD Trinitron WEGA and am in the process of setting it up. Pretty happy with my purchase, price point, delivery, and image quality.

I price shopped / compared from http://www.pricegrabber.com/ and read online reviews from CNET and http://products.consumerguide.com/reviews/index.epub.

I also used this board to help me decide on the KD-34XBR970, thanks.

I ended up going with an online store in NY as that way I wouldn't be paying tax (going to CA). Best price was http://thenewconnection.com/, so after comparing delivery rates and still being the best, I ordered the unit by calling their toll free number.

*This is interesting:* The guy mentioned something about a 'china' model, but I figured I didn't care where it was made, it was a Sony. I got a call back from the manager about 15 minutes later, and he explained it was a 'made-for-china' model. All menus, labels, docs, etc in Chinese. So that was why it was so cheap. He had the normal unit for a greater cost. It was still reasonable, just in line with the other best prices from the price comparisons. The manager seemed to want the sale and make it right, so I ordered it. Very close to $1100 with shipping.

I just got it yesterday, in good shape, and while the delivery was not supposed to help me get in to my apartment, the truck driver (www.actionfreightservices.com) was cool and helped me carry the 200lb box up two flights of stairs. Nice, as I would have been stranded had he not. No way could I have carried it by myself, and I'm real tall and strong.

So far so good, except that I didn't get a paper invoice with the unit, and so far no email one either. I just checked, and my Amex charge was for the proper amount ($1,098.99) billed to FOTOCONNECTION.COM. I would recommend going this way. Worked for me.

I recently purchased a Samsung HL-S5088W from Howard Pierce Audio/Visual Direct. Aside from the backorder issue, the tv arrived a few weeks later in perfect condition. The freight company called and scheduled an appointment with me to be home and deliver. Everything went well.
