Default Dumb n00b question

Every now and then I see someone talking about "fixed pixel" t.v. and I am curious what that means exactly. what are the other choices of tv.s and what are the pros and cons of this technology. Are DLP tvs fixed.
Thanks

If the tv says 1920x1080, 1024x720, etc., it is fixed pixel. Those are native resolutions. CRTs do not have fixed pixels.
