Default Something to try

If anyone reading this watches alot of football or racing as I do and you notice any motion blur around anything moving fast try turning off any image enhancing function you may have. On sony's its the drc and samsungs its dnie. Although these enhancers make sd and dvd's look alot better I have found when turned on they actually degrade a quality hd signal and also worsen the blur effect around fast moving objects. This is something I have just noticed and I must have a sickness because I will just keep turning it on and off to see the difference. Maybe it's just me. My wife says I'm CRAZY!

I turned every auto setting off when I setup my TV and used AVIA to dial it in. The picture quality is much better with them off.

i have a Mits. wd-y57 dlp. The only setting i can find to turn off is the video noise. Is there any other settings on this tv i can change to get the blurriness to go away during fast motion?

Default Hey hdtvjunkie

Your set has the plush 1080p wich is a digital signal processor that cleans up and upconverts the signal. You have to consult your owners manual for instructions on how to disable this feature.

The manufacturer must not want regular people to do much adjusting on this tv because the manual doesn't tell how to do it. It just says how to adjust the colors, brightness, video noise, ect. I'll read through the manual again this weekend maybe i over looked something. thanks dvdslw.

I was curious and downloaded an owners manual for your set and they sure dont say a word about it. I think they should let you choose to enable/disable this function. There is a phone # on the front of the manual and if I were you I would call and inquire about this. I also found out your tv does not accept 1080p through the component inputs just like my Sony.

I read through the manual again lastnight after i got offline and didn't find anything about changing the advanced settings so i might try to call the 800 number. Yes you are right the only way to get 1080p is to use the hdmi cables. At the present time i don't have anything that does 1080p so that not a big deal to me. Maybe sometime in the future i'll invest in a hd-dvd player. Kinda holding out to see who is gonna win either blue-ray or hd-dvd. haha

Did you then copy your settings and apply them to the other inputs?

Yes. I setup each input that I use with the input I setup with AVIA.
