Hello,
not sure were I needed to post this, but I am on a mission to get the word out on just how bad a small repair shop located in San Dimas Calirfornia who are Mitsubishi certified and G.E. (General Eletric) television warranty service plans for many contracts namely The Good Guys as well as a well known problem with Mitsubishi DLP television namely the WD 52525. I have had problems like you would not believe with all three companies. PVS electronics were reported to the BBB and they replied with a letter that the BBB sent me stating that I was "Crazy" and enraged in which their workers felt "threatend". I simply was rasing my voice due to there 3 week delay and screw up. They also stated I threatened them with harm, I actually told them I was possibly seeking legal consult on this matter. My wife then waited until I went to work to ask if they would service the t.v. since by now they were refusing with GE to do the repair. Once they said no, my wife began to cry. However, in this letter they sent tothe BBB, they stated my wife called and was crying because she also was in fear of me, and stated I was crazy. The letter goes on and on, however, as my wife and I read the letter, I must say, we haven't laghed so hard in a very long time. Now, for G.E. (General Eletrics) warranty plans, I called them over 25 times, and to make a very very long story short, they do not care for the customers of the former Good Guys. GE services are not to be dealt with lightly. I asked for an 1-2 years more on my service plan for all their errors and mistakes, and not only did they say no, but hell no (in a matter of speaking). They then told me to call the customer service for The Good Guys (which still does exist) to get the extended extra 1-2 years. So, I called them, I asked, they said NO, and hung up. I called back GE, told them what happened, they said, all well, and hung up. It has taken nearly 3.5 months, and I have not watched t.v. my unit still sits on my table waiting eagerly for repair. Also, just a warning for all you Mitsubishi owners, especially all the DLP owners. I have done a great deal of research in the 3.5 months that I have had no t.v. and found a lot of information that is not so good for the owners of mitsubishi t.v.s I called 20 certified Mitsubishi repair companies and took their numbers, names, times I called etc...and asked a few simple basic questions. Oddly enough, they all ansered pretty much the same. They said that Mitsubishi is the worst customer service to deal with and most of the time, legal counsel is often sought. However, the most important thing is that when the lamp goes out, (which they are going out if less time then they first expected), that the great power surge they cause has the ability to take out either the Light Engine or the Light Chasis. Each of these parts retails for over $1200.00 not including labor and all the other stuff that goes along with these types of repairs. I asked that even when this is fixed, if the lamp goes out again, it has just as much possiblity of taking out those two items again and again every 1-2 years. I have been estimated my t.v. alone will cost me $1200 to $1600 because it could be one or both of those light boards (Light chasis or light engine). And just to think, this could happen again next year, after my warranty runs out. So, as soon as it gets fixed, its being sold and I am getting the new Sony SXRD model 1080P. Please spread the word into as many blogs and forums as possble. Items to spread: PBS electronics located in San Dimas CA G.E. Extended Service Plan Mitsubishi DLP Lamp issue with Light engine and light chasis. THank YOU |
