Just a note - I realize now that the LED colors listed in my previous post are incorrect - the Amber LED, which blinks as the TV warms up and then is steady when the TV is on, is constantly on, and the Lamp light is constantly green, no blinking...

Default Replaced Lamp.. now what?

I have recently come into ownership of this model TV. I was told that the lamp had been replaced (followed instructions listed above) and TV still failed to work. Could this be the processor or the CPU? Or could it possibly have been the directions incorrectly carried out? Let me know before I have to take it in and find out!

Default LG DLP lamp won't come out

I have an LG-RU44SZ63D tv. I am trying to replace the lamp. I've taken out the 2 screws holding the lamp assembly in place but the assembly won't pull out. Is there something else holding it in place that I can't see?

April of 2009 and this thread is still valuable. I used the recommendations to buy, replace, and reset the lamp indicator on my aging LG DLP... this is what makes a forum like this worth it. Money and time saved. Thanks.

Thank you all for your posts. I have a LG 62dc1d-uc . I just replaced the lamp ( pretty easy ) and used the enter mute trick and all is back to normal. FYI the lamp code for this tv was p22-hd5 with a lamp model as-lx50 but when ordering online I had to use rp-e022-1. Hope this might help somebody as you have helped me.

The information on this thread was great. My LG 52SX4D "popped". I ordered a lamp from Pureland Supply.

The lamp comes out pretty easily. I bought a bare bulb which required more assembly/disassembly on my part.

The trick for me was to COMPLETELY INSTALL EVERYTHING - including shutting the "cosmetic" door as well. Until I screwed in the exterior cosmetic door, the television wouldn't turn on.

Well it was very nice of you to drop a comment over here. For installation you should see the video for reference. Lamp Installation Guide
