JVC Lamp Recall
I was shocked to hear the JVC tech say they found out their lamp supplier wasn't mfg to JVC specs. Only lamps dated after 11/2005 will last the 4-6,000 hours JVC claims. This was after my 4th phone call and 8 days later the new lamp hasn't arrived.
An ethical firm would have sent out a recall notice and furnished replacement lamps to every customer registered. Speaking of ethics, be careful ordering "cheap lamps" that Discount Merchant Electronics sends without the JVC brown box and info. They say they bought up JVC's oversupply - which most surely must mean the defective products as JVC doesn't seem to have the new lamp to send me. The shame is no problems otherwise and the picture is great! |

JVC is sending out the recall notice for those registered? or registered customer has to call in to setup the replacement?
