First hint at new lamp info:
Quote:
Model: 3797203800-S
Desc: Lamp Module Assy Toshiba LV-672
Serial No: W611IQ11893
Mfg Date: 2006.3.13

D95-LMP (23515183)(New Part number ?)

Other than some new numbers to reference everything else looks exactly the same as the replacement lamp I received in Jan.

I say it that way cus both the replacement lamp and this one had the side chassis cut out nearest the lamp cone. The original did not. The chassis numbers were the same also.

The replacement lamp I received several weeks ago had the same PN as the originial. Maybe the lamp wasn't the improved part. Maybe I'm still intitled to another replacement. Humm!

Didn't see any physical differences in the lamp assembly.

enmco, any reference site where your info came from?

That is exactly why I am still pursueing this so hard. Info on the latest replacement, AND the replacement of these, if they aren't the "New and Improve" lamp, per Toshiba is very important in the coming days. If the new lamp's model number is different,WE need to know. Online retailers??? Dumping old, bad stock?? Future replacement lamps??

Verify with Toshiba, come back with results,THAT would be of help. That is why I am asking you,and others who have received the latest lamps,to determine when, and if, these lamps have gained any discernible differences.

.....Hey, make a note of the Part # of the "new bulb" so we can verify that it isn'i the "old" lamp.Oh, nothing wrong with evil thoughts

My Lamp is Part # 23311153 (LV-672)
Assembled on 03/06/2006
..............This and so far, all other posts confirming Part #s are from other forums. This number is different,so I probably shouldn.t have posted it,but I thought we all (Tosh owners anyway) might like to keep up with the new lamps coming in.These are the first reported lamps since letters from Toshiba were sent.

This is the only other post I have received while researching this. The only references in the two that are the same is the term LV-672. This poster said his part# was 23515183, maybe. His also states it said D95-LMP on it. Looking for the correct "Number- Name" for this "New" lamp.

What a difference the last two or three weeks have made in this and other Toshiba threads.

I was refering to the lack of Tosh bashing since the whole lamp thing has died down. Nothing I have done. I will no longer bother the very few Tosh people here. Your quite capable at that.

i don't beleive their will be any difference in the lamps..these are just light bulbs..if they get them fixed..it will be on the manufactoring side of the bulb sealing..they are only light bulbs that burn mercury instead of a filimate..if the bulbs are not sealed correctly the mercury will leak out causeing your picture to fade..once the mercury is gone the bulb will over heat and burst..

Helllo, just joined and hope to get some info.... I purchased 2 52HMX85 tv's, (one for me and one for my parents) back in january. Bolth bulbs have now blown, (Mine on Feb 20, my parents just went yesterday).

Now My replacement bulb had Feb 6 stamped on the box, do I have an old POS bulb? If I read that letter correctly, the improved bulbs are JUST coming out now... please can someone tell me if it's possible to have a improved bulb so early?

Also why are Canadian owners getting the shaft in relation to those in the US? I think it's a great program they are putting in place down there, but will they follow suit here also?

I will be compareing my parents factory bulb, my Feb 6 replacement, and their brand new april bulb for any differences... I'll post any findings for anyone interested.

Unhappy $%*@?!! Lamp

Well, wife just turned white as a sheet as she told me of the popping of the lamp. Called TCS,had me take it out while online, apologized profusely about all the problems I've had,(cc issues, new LE, 5 mos. old the 10th) said they would replace my set if I had anymore problems. I said "How about now" he laughed and said "if you have anymore". Said the new lamps have never been out of stock. Shipping out today hopefully, said look for it Friday,if not, then MONDAY!!!!!

Hello again, here is the info from my bulbs and my parents:

Sticker on new bulb box:

MODEL #3797203800-S
SERIAL #W6121Q14476
Manufacture Date 3-21-06

Now on the actuall bulb in the box:

D95-LMP
Rating 150W
38-100V
SN #23311153
(stamped on left side of lamp) #34552047XX

The info from the bulb is EXACTLY the same as their old factory bulb, EXACTLY the same as my Feb 06 replacement bulb, and mostly the same as my old factory bulb (didn't write down the side # off mine).

Now unless these "improved" bulbs are somehow just a internal design change I believe we Canadians are just getting old stock crap bulbs. Why would people in the states that replaced a bulb be getting a just released "improved" bulb mailed to them if recent replacements were not faulty as well? Please note any other numbers you find on your "verified" new version bulb... I'm kind of PO'ed right now.

EDIT: Okay now I'm just confused... according to that link the new part # IS 23311153... but that was the # on the stock bulb. (TV was built way back in November)
