Buying TVs online vs. in store

For some reason, I am very skeptical about buying online... don't know why, but even stores that have good reviews I feel uneasy about.... am I be just being paranoid?

I mean, for the TVs I am looking for, they are about $500 cheaper online. And I buy stuff online all the time and never had a problem. But I feel like for a big ticket item like a TV, if something goes wrong, it would just be that much more of a hassle...

Could anyone reccomend any good online ordering sites in the new england/NY area? Also, what about the extended warranty policies that these sites offer? Are they comparable to a circuit city/best buy?

I think if I do suck it up and order from one of these sites, I would definitely call in and talk to someone on the phone.
