Toshiba 52HM84 Lamp Problem

My Toshiba DLP RPTV blew a lamp. I put in a new one that came on, worked for a few days, then nothing. I took it out, dusted the contacts and put it back in. Most times it didn't work, but about 1 out of 5 times, it did... but then did not come back on again when I tried it.

I had another one on order and put it in, but this one doesn't light up either (and it's brand new, out of the box).

The fan near the lamp does comes on. Any one have this same problem ? I love this TV and would like to keep it.

Any chance there is a defect in the circuit that powers the lamp, maybe just a loose connector, or something more serious...???

Anyone know where I can get some info / suggestions ??
