Default There is a bug stuck inside my lcd!!!!!

Help Anyone,
recently had my place fumigated but now some flying bugs went inside my:
Sony KF-50WE620 LCD.
I tried everything from vacuming the exterior vents, removing bulb compartment and blowing air, to tapping the screen (which did remove some bugs).
does anyone have a factory manual on how to open it up before I try myself or has anyone done so already.
There is one more bug left inside attached to the screen and I just want to know the best way of getting inside there.
It is a 50" Grand Wega lcd model:KF-50WE620

thanx for any help

I'd call a service rep if I were you. You could accidently break your screen.

Default Bugs

I been waiting for someone to respond to this issue. I read it earlier and I didn't have the answer. I mean the bug could crawl out on his own free will at any time or he could like the HD view and decide to stay awhile. Or you could be ambitious and try to get that sucker outta there. Perhaps open the fifth of Jack Daniels and lure him out. If that doesn't work then take a drink for yourself. Can't let the bug have all the fun. Either way you got a HD nature show free of charge. Good luck my man.

Default Pioneer Killer

I had a 62" Pioneer rear projection TV (with a line doubler system built in ) a sweet set until a spider crawled up between the frt screens ( a clear screen and the lenticular lens) I tapped on the screen and the little bugger scramed away quickly only to crawl back again, so once again I tapped only this time the liitle beggar scurried higher up the screen until it wedged itself tightly between the screens as I tapped once again and a little harder until I ended up squashing him creating a mashed critter stained between them. I then proceeded to remove the back panel, against the prominently dispalyed warning sticker, as I gently opened the back panel I heard the reflective mirror ($400) dislodge itself and scraped down thw inside of the lenticular screen ($700.) and finally fall and and break scratching the projector lens. This is how I came about buying my new 50" sony LCD unit My suggestion ....Call a service professional ASAP

A guy on AVS forum had pics of a remainder of bug poop left on his screen by a moth... major dismantling involved in the cleaning.

Just to inject some historical trivia... everyone knows the first computer bug was a real moth caught in a relay, right? This is just continuing a long tradition...
