Hitachi Hdtv
I am looking to buy either the Hitachi 51f500a or the 51s500 or the Sony 51" and would like imput on whether Hitachi or Sony is the better buy.

No doubt about it. Hitatchi Projection Televisions are much better quality. Like you mentioned, Get the S series as it is their top of the line product. What makes Hitatchi that much better? Simply put, their lens.
