Default hlp5063w - need help finding no start issue

just replaced color wheel and put old lamp back in.

after several cycles, tv lit up and worked perfectly on HD channel for about 6 minutes (beautiful pic). lamp went out and tv is not responsive to remote.

will unplug and keep trying.

any ideas?

Sounds like it could be a ballast or the lamp is defective.

bought a new bulb last month. same results over several tries. put in a new color wheel last Saturday and it fired right up for about 3 hours and then lamp went out and no remote response. if it was ballast, why would it fire up intermittently?

Have you ever had a florescent lamp flicker for a while and then suddenly come on for a little bit and then go back to flickering? Same thing.

It may not be the ballast and could be a power supply issue also. Without instruments to test each component, all we can do is guess based on past resolutions for others.
