Cool Sony KDS-55A2000 9 blinks...pls help!

I own a Sony KDS-55A2000. The TV will turn on for anywhere from 30-90 secs. then shuts off. I then get the 9 blinks on the LED light. The service manual says for 9 blinks: "Temp. sensors, Bus decoder IC's, (IC 2000, 3150,3200, 8804)". Has anyone experienced anything like this? I think I've searched the WHOLE internet! There is very little info. about this problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Bobby

At least check that the fans are working; as it seem to be a temperature problem possibility.

Thanks Slipknot...Is there a way to test which one it is or do I have to replace each board by trial and error...? For example, if I take the TV to a service center, what will they do to fix the problem? Thanks

Today it's more a board change procedure; so they try until they found the defective one.
In my days , we repaired the boards, and it was less expensive.

Nine Blinks

1 time
2 for
3 you
4 to
5 buy
6 a
7 new
8 non Sony
9 TV

J/K, it's really tough to troubleshoot these days without just removing and replacing circuit boards until the correct one fixes the problem. But, in some cases that does not resolve the root issue and further repair work is needed. Sony has had it's share of problems with it's LCoS, and SXRD models.

Thanks guys...I already bought a new Samsung LCD. I'm just looking to get this fixed and see if I can sell it. Is it worth the hassle, or should I sell it as is? It is taking up a lot of space, which my wife reminds me of everyday...thus I need to sell or repair ASAP! Also, any recommendations on where to buy the boards? Thanks again.
