Default Mitsubishi WD-62527

I have the chance to buy one of these for about 200.00. The problem is that it won't turn on they say. Is there a reset to this tv and if so how hard is it to do? Any ideas what it could be?

Could be a plethora of problems. Has anybody checked the bulb? No matter what, that model is almost 5 years old and as things go today, rather low on the picture end. Are you just looking to get an entry type HD tv at any cost or would you consider spending a couple hundred more and getting a new lcd?

Well the only reason I was going to get it was because of the size and the price if it didn't cost too much to fix, I have a 42" Vizio LCD in the living room now and was gonna put the 62 in here and move the 42 up to the bedroom. But if it's just gonna be that much of a headache I will just try to save some money for a while and get a new 65" dlp at a later date. I was just hoping to get one for cheap lol

Personally, me would save the money. Going from a 42" to a 62" would seem like a big improvement, but the mitsi is only a 720p - and you would see a degradation in quality. If it is the bulb, you can consider paying about $150-$200 for replacement and then you would have a $400 dollar tv. But, if you could put $50 bucks away per week, along with the $200 for a non-working tv, you would have enough to get a new tv, say a 50" plasma for x-mas. Life's to short, don't sell yourself short.

Hi,Mitsubishi is also having more problems like "The green light of death issue" This will be the lamp you need for that tv : http://www.discount-merchant.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=915P028010+? Its around $124.99 and that's the Philips which normally last 2-4 yrs.Another issue with that Tv it could be the ballast which is the board that powers the lamp. You will also need to check the fans since there's seems to be a problem with over heating.Sometime it is worth it but make sure you check what the problem could be.Good luck and God loves you!
