Today 1-13-09 only they are having a huge sale on DVDs andBlu Rays. I got Planet Earth on Blu Ray for $35.

They aren't even making HD DVDs any more why would you want them. Unless you bought an HD DVD player.

The HD DVD version is $9.99 because you only get episodes: Pole to Pole, Mountains, and Deep Ocean.

With the BluRay version for $49.99 you get episodes: Pole to Pole, Mountains, Deep Ocean, Deserts, Ice Worlds, Shallow Sea, Great Plains, Jungles, Fresh Water, Seasonal Forests, and Caves.

If you're and HD DVD owner ONLY, I would think it's a better deal to just buy the complete set on regular DVD and have it up converted. In the notes for the BluRay version it says that it plays at 1080i, not 1080p for people that care.
