Without losing any HD picture quality? The store I am thinking of buying my PJ from has some really nice screens but they are all around $1000 and up. I don't really mind if it is motorized or not, but I would like it to be at least 85-90 inches.

That may be tough to find for a screen that big at that price. Have you done a Google search?

Here's a good one. 1 day left, so it may go for more than $500.

I think if you have a good wall available that you'd be better off spending as much as you can on the projector now and later getting a good screen. To be honest though, can you afford a projector? Keep in mind if a bulb goes after 30 days, its not in warranty. And bulbs are often upwards of $300.

Do you have a brand preference? A lower-end brand would probally be easier to come by at BJs or something, especally if you wait for a good sale and aren't in a hurry to buy it. I think Superbowl sales would be a good way to start.

Hi HV77, Have you thought about making your own screen ? Didn't see where you live, but if you live west of the Rockies, you can pick up a Do-able Products
4' x 8' from your local HD & either build a frame for it or mount it directly to a wall. It is bragged about a lot on another forum (AVS Forum). Best of all, the board cost less $25. The model number @ HD is: 63036, sku# 174-278. Other folks have used a laminate from WilsonArt #D354-60 "Designer White" is matte white. Just a few thoughts ... John |

I built my screen, double framed with felt for less than $85 and about 3 hours of my time. The hardest part was squaring it up, really need 2 people. If you want the directions, drop me a line, I bought the material from a user on eBay, rest locally, really simple.
I built 100" diagonal, love it, you can get better material and eventually I will get the higher gain, this works quite well. It is fixed, but just hangs on the wall. Jeff
