I replaced my ailing Mitsubishi XD460U with an XD 480U. Pretty much the same, but a little brighter.
The projector displays DVDs and television images perfectly from my DVR/tuner, but when I switch to the PC mode the image is larger by about 20% above and 20% below the screen. The width is OK. I tried adjusting the image with the projector's setup options, but nothing there helps. I've also tried all the different resolutions that my video card has, and there's no difference. The PC's only output is a 15-pin VGA connector When I connect the PC to a 21" monitor, the picture fits perfectly on that screen. I'm hoping there's a fix for this. I cant see the Start Menu button way below the screen or the exit X on top of it. |

Try these different steps I listed below. It may help.
Your projector must have a zoom lens. Try adjusting it. If you are still not happy with output buy a long throw lens. You can also try to change the resolution in your pc by Right clicking on your desktop->Properties->Settings->Advanced. Or specify input type in the projector. Because most projectors have support for different input types, you will have to specify which interface you used to hook up the projector to the computer. Power on the projector and use the "Input" or "Source" button, either from the projector or remote, to select the appropriate VGA or HDMI input. Or you can also try some adjusting methods that are provided in the projector manual online ebook for your device, the link is http://www.mitsubishielectric.com/bu...d450_xd400.pdf. Check the advanced features in the manual. Hope this will help. |

The native resolution of that projector is 1024x768 . Try using that resolution and see if the image fits.
