How much time will I get from the lamp? I've inherited a 3M projector with no lamp working. The previous owner was getting rid of it because he said he wasn't getting enough hours for the price of the replacement. The lamps seem really expensive and it's tempting to buy the knock-ofs even though everyone warns against them. I wonder if it's better to invest in a newer model. So, any idea on the shelf for the lamps on the Panasonic? Thanks for the hep!

Depending on whether you run the PJ in low-lamp mode or not, you'll get anywhere from 3,000 to 4,000 hours on average.

May be the Panny can beat Sony, but it is such a brand which had already established its roots.
