http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090726/...ine_fast_track

Especially in Europe. Here is an excerpt from it and what is really scary:

Quote:
But critics say dangers lurk in any strategy to vaccinate without robust testing.

Scant information exists on flu vaccines with adjuvants, a component used to stretch the active ingredient that is commonly found in European flu vaccines. There are no licensed flu vaccines with the ingredient in the U.S.

There is also limited or no data on the safety and effectiveness of vaccines with adjuvants in children under 3 and pregnant women — two of the most vulnerable groups in a pandemic — a global outbreak.

Mass swine flu vaccination campaigns will also take place in the shadow of the 1976 swine flu disaster, when hundreds of people in the U.S. developed Guillain-Barre syndrome, a paralyzing disorder, after being vaccinated.

Experts don't know why that happened, but say modern vaccine production techniques have improved since 1976. To avoid a similar episode, some say comprehensive testing before the vaccine is rolled out is essential.
So they do not know what happened back in 1976 with that swine flu vaccine, but they are better at it now, and will not be testing as extensively either.

I have a slight issue with that article saying that the most vulnurable groups is kids and pregnant women. The people this flu is targeting is young, healthy adults. Which is what makes this flu so "scary". It follows the pattern that the Spanish flu did. Luckily, this flu isn't very deadly (I work at a hospital, and we've had one case of swine flu death, in a young boy, who already had other health problems).

At our hospitla, we are being very cautious, and are following very strict infection control routines. The problem is all these people coming in through the ER with flu-symptoms when they should be staying home. Most don't have the flu, and most of those that do, a majority is indeed swine. Still, they should all be staying home.

The stuff of the 1976 injections everyone had to get it. So last word we were all okay against this one.. I use this if I feel sick.. For some reason I started to coughing yesterday and couldn't stop. No I don't smoke anything so don't go there! Had pop this into me before hitting the bed and it knocks you right out and now I feel better and the cough is gone.

Note this requires a DL to get.. prior you needed your Doctor to scribed it to you. The Blue and Green box versions is sold over the counter.

Personally, I do not trust these vaccines. There always seems to be some weird side effects with them. Thus I don't take flu shots.

Same here the flu shot is the flu is being injected into your body before the flu season starts. I use M-D described in prior post #5 to fight off the flu/cold so I don't get sick. Last year I wasn't.

If it isn't reported here, at GAF, on the Dan Patrick radio show, or on Something Awful, I don't know about it. Seriously.

I do fall asleep to C-SPAN though. That's really the only "news" outlet I'll spend time on anyways. I like hearing the issues from the actual people and not the commentary from Brown and Cal State goons.

The behind the counter mucinex is the most effective OTC drug I've ever used for anything.

That stuff is gold in the spring time.

Many vaccines are preserved in mercury.

The disturbing thing is that this flu virus which appeared last winter has persisted throughout the summer months one source stated that this has not happened previously....The CDC is anticipating a major outbreak during this flu season they have their fingers crossed that the virus doesn't mutate into a deadlier form... if it does millions are going to die..............
