AFAIK this only passed the Senate and still must pass the state House of Reps, and then the governor must sign it.

It is sad that I cannot find any info confirming passage if it did already pass and become law huh? Makes you wonder WHY it didn't get any news media mention before it passed.

I'm not really worried about the regular flu shot or H1N1 flu shot.

I haven't gotten the influenza flu shot for a long time. I've never had any troubles.

Last year for about a week or so every night on the news we had an H1N1 update. After that, nothing really mentioned. It'll probably be the same thing this time around, big scare before hand of how bad it's going to be then no big deal once some new cases of it are reported.

I remember how we were all gonna die from the bird flu. That didn't happen either.

I haven't seen that the Massachusetts law imposing a fine and jail time for not obeying public health officials has passed. In addition, I haven't seen the announcement that public health officials have declared the swine flu is a public health crisis or that orders to take the swine flu vaccine have been given by public health officials. I don't believe the law has passed and have no idea who wrote the article Lee linked or if he has any idea about the issue. The law doesn't sound like it would be a popular one if it does pass.

I always thought flu shots were in the arm.

A female co-worker told me she just got a flu shot and they made her pull down her pants & underwear and bend forward over a table so they could administer the flu shot in her backside.

I do work for an older guy that is in his 80's

He got a flu shot and it was "a bad batch" I guess!

His arm swelled up really bad and was infected from the shot.

So he had to get two more shots of antibiotics for the infection he got from the flu shot!

So there are some risks getting these shots.

He was pretty upset and his arm looked bad but he is ok now.

Doesn't sound like she got the flu shot. Sounds like she got something else in her backside...

Any thoughts on the link below? Just came in my inbox. Sure is an interesting read at least.

I have read that some people believe that these vaccinations are to help lower the global population because it is too high to sustain everyone for much longer with the resources available on earth.

I think it is far fetched myself, but who kows for sure? I just do not trust much of the gov't like I use to.

Me too, not much trust left in the gov either, but yes it is a little far fetched. The 2nd link at the end of that page compiling the charges is a good read though. http://birdflu666.wordpress.com/2009/04/13/case-about-bird-flu/

After a few pages it goes from english to german, but the first few pages have enough info. I hope we get to read this stuff after 2010 as our country is apparently going to be the first western country to try and halt the net more or less. http://www.americanfreepress.net/htm...ensorship.html

Hey P, since the virus is passed through droplets, sneezing/coughing. would you be nervous if your child attended a birthday party, since the they take a deep breath, and blow out the candles? I'm sure that would be a way to get it, yes?

Only if the birthday boy/girl already had it and spits on the cake.

Most likely less people will get Swine Flu compared to the regular flu and I do not vaccinate my kids for that either. My mother was getting flu shots every year for the last 12+ years and every single year she got the flu shortly after getting the shot. I finally convinced her not to get it last year and guess what? She never got the flu last year.

I don't care what they say about the virus being dead in the vaccine, but it surely was not simple coincidence that 12 years of getting the shot and she got the flu and the first year she didn't get the flu shot she didn't get the flu. Ditto fort other people I know also.

I'm with you on that. I have never gotten a flu shot, and maybe I got the flu on my own a few times in my life. I really hate needles too. I make sure I wash my hands, and don''t touch my face when out in public. I also carry hand sanitizer in my car, because grocery carts are some of the most germiest places on the planet! Oh, the gym is a hot bed of germs too.
