I hope your not hungry!
Just had another cat show up at my doorstep a few weeks ago. She looks about 1 year old or less and had a leather collar/strap around her. Either she lost her way, escaped of someone threw her away. Was concerned that the strap will strangle her if it gets caught on a fence wire or something, but she was painfully shy and would not come too close. Today I was working on my motorbike in the garden and she zipped through and around my legs and let me take it off for her. She seems very content to be free without the strap and occasionally sits on our step, so not sure what to do yet. If she loves the freedom to roam around, then we need to let her live her life, but she sure is a cutie. Last edited by okdude123; 05-28-2009 at 11:41 PM. |

LOL, that caption was a good one Dude. ![]() We have had a few cats that we took care of outside too. Just feed her if she's hungry, and have some fresh water for her is about all you can do at this point. Will she stay still long enough for you to get a pic of her sitting on your steps? I think we should post big kitty pics too. ![]()

I like the idea of posting big kitty pics too. Apparently we are supposed to have the highest concentration of cougars in North America where we live so I need to hide in the forest and see if I can get a few pics. Have heard them, but in 15 years have only seen one by the post box and that was it. McKenna, nice pic of Barnabus! It calms me to see cats all stretched out and relaxing. I think they have the right idea in life! I used to work horrible hours to keep the business going and when I came back home and saw our cats stretched out to the limit taking it easy, it always made me laugh and enjoy their carefree attitude..... and THANKS to whoever made this thread a sticky!!! Here's a couple pics of ours. When a bag drops on the floor, we hear a noise, and well...see for yourself.

GB,
I swear I have never seen a cat that big in my life. One Calico, about 1 1/2. Sometimes I think we're guests in HER house. Same thing here...she lays on the counter, or on top of the couch. She loves to watch the birds, and rabbits out the bedroom window, which has a sill she can lay/sit on. She puts out this weird sort of low growl/meow when she sees one. There are coyotes here, which go after cats. Ours is strictly inside only. I enjoy looking at the pictures you post, and thanks for the comment. Last edited by dahur; 06-01-2009 at 11:45 PM. |
