As for cougars, I've rarely heard of anyone getting attacked around here. Once if I remember well, but the cat was sick and looking for easy prey. It is kind of eerie sometimes though walking in the forest with the thought that there may be a big cat lurking on a branch waiting to pound us, but so far so good.

That's a cute pic you just posted BTW! Looks very similar to one of our previous cats. Here he is sitting outside relaxing on a bench. Pics a little fuzzy as they are scanned. His name was Serji.



and here is minky again. She came out of the forest too and adopted us. We just started building the house, and wherever I was with the ladder, so was she. If I didn't see her, I'd know that she would be looking at me from somewhere just to make sure I did the job right..haha.

Thank you, she's my baby, even though she's 11yrs. I feel bad for the wildlife, we keep encroatching on them, and they have no place to go.

Serji looks like he has Serval in him, his markings are just like my best friends exotic Sonny. I will post some pics of him soon. OMG Serji is just magnificant!

Yeah, I can tell you love them all to death! 11 years and still going is good news. Minky passed away a few years ago and she was a real cutie. The most playful and gentle personalty right up until her last day. Always grateful and thankful to be around. Minky was 12 and Serji was about 7 I guess. He came out of the bushes dead sick and we nursed him back to health and he was fine for many years and then all of a sudden he got really sick again. Doc called it feline leukemia. It was tough to see him go, broke all our hearts.

You mentioned that 'Cats have staff" LOL!!! This is one of the reasons you gotta love them. They got our number and love every minute of it

I'm so sorry they're gone Dude.

I always think of cats as people who didn't get pampered in a former life. I like being able to go away for the weekend, and leaving a bowl of food, and water.
You can't do that with dogs!

Cat lovers try this. Get a tupperware type container, and put live moths in them. Your cats will go nutz, plus they can eat them as a snack when they're done. I do this because my critters are indoors.
