Default Stimulus Payment Info.

Stimulus Payment Info.

"This year, taxpayers will receive an Economic Stimulus Payment. This
is a very exciting new program that I will explain using the Q and
A format:

Q. What is an Economic Stimulus Payment?
A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

Q. Where will the government get this money?
A. From taxpayers.

Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
A. Only a smidgen.

Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
A. The plan is that you will use the money to purchase a
high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China ?
A. Shut up.

Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the US economy
by spending your stimulus check wisely:

If you spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China.
If you spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs.
If you purchase a computer it will go to India.
If you purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras,
and Guatemala (unless you buy organic).
If you buy a car it will go to Japan.
If you purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan.

And none of it will help the American economy.

We need to keep that money here in America. You can keep the money
in America by spending it at yard sales, going to a baseball game, or
spend it on prostitutes, beer and wine (domestic ONLY), or tattoos,
since those are the only businesses still in the US.

Sure, I could spend it. But I don't NEED it.

There's people who can't pay mortgages, their oil bill for heat..etc. They NEED it. Then there's those that don't have jobs - They REALLY need it.

You don't need it either.. Perhaps the guy who has no TV and can barely pay his electric bill could use it.

Seriously. Anyone who visits this site shouldn't NEED it. There's a big difference between needing something and wanting it or being able to use it.

I don't NEED a ferrari to get to work, but if one was given to me with all expenses paid, I'd be happy to drive it to work.

Do you really NEED the stimulus check? Are you having trouble paying bills? Had to cut your cable or other non-essential utilities in order to pay other bills?

All I will say is, it's my money. I earned it. They took it. Who cares if I "need" it. It's mine. I should be allowed to spend my money the way I choose. Having said that, this is not a stimulus it's a pay off. And there is a big difference.

First of all -

A lot of the people that can't pay their mortgage bought more house than they can afford. They NEED to re-think their incoming and outgoing money.

I don't NEED a ferrari, or a new chainsaw for Christmas, blah, blah, blah, but some extra money to pay bills would sure help out right now even though I'm being really careful with my money right now.

Get off your NO ONE NEEDS the stimulus money sales pitch.

Kind of reminds me of the story of the man who had a daughter in college. When she came home at the end of her first year she was questioning how he could be a Republican. He just told her maybe she would understand one day. He then asked her how everything at school was and she began to tell him how hard it was. She has no social life because she is always in class or the library or the lab. She told him that it was paying off because she received a straight A in all her classes. Her father congratulated her and then asked her how her friend Lisa was doing at school. She explained that she was not doing too well. She sleeps in late and skips class all the time and never did the homework and just partied. She is failing all her classes. Her father told her that was very unfortunate and suggested that she go and talk to the Dean back at school and tell him that you would like to give some of your grades to Lisa so she didn't get kicked out of school. You could work out a deal were you both get straight C's for the year. His daughter was credulous and asked him why would I do that when I have worked so hard to achieve what I have and then just give it to someone who has not. He then told her that maybe now she can understand why he is a Republican.

At one time this story may have been applicable to today's situation but regrettable not much difference between any politicians.
