Moon, Venus and Jupiter

I was up at the Stanley Hotel in the Rocky Mountain area I was saying to the wife look at the moon there are two other objects near it. I did snap image of what it was. But now I know that the objects were Venus and Jupiter.

This is not the image I had shot but this is what was shown.

Could that other planet be Mars? I thought Jupiter was too far away without a telescope?

No it's Jupiter all three had lined up.. Up here the night sky is clear I was up about 5,000 feet up I think. Actually I was trying to take a picture of the haunted tower at night it was about 6pm then I had turn around and see the two extra objects near the moon. The locals have UFO sitings here but you know how that old story goes.

Reminds me of the 3 dot thing on the Sarah Conner Chronicles lately.
