Default Survivor!

Don't slam please!
It's just not right,
It's back, and back to basics
no more second chances, and a good cast.
I am watching colton, more femmy than the girls.

Thx for posting this. I did not know the season started already. I don't watch much TV but I have my DVR set to record stuff. Since survivor changes the name of the show each season, my DVR does not automatically record it, unlike the apprentice. I watched the first episode from CBS web site...

I love Survivor - It is one of my all-time favorites. I have actually tried out and made it through one round of cuts - hopefully someday I will get selected. I was born to play that game. I really think I can beat other competitors but where it gets tricky is the show 'changing the rules' or throwing a curveball in the middle which can nullify your strategy. As a result I have spent several years formulating various strategies based on both personality traits and possible 'game changers' such as shuffling teams, hidden immunities etc.

I missed my first episode ever last week as my dvr was set to search for Survivor but because of the extra tag line Survivor : xxxxx it didn't record. I plan on watching on-linr tongight before tomorrows epissode.

PS I really wish that I would have gotten on Survivor Vanuatu (Fiji) as my mother is native Fijiian and grew up in a small native village (firewalking and all). My Father governed large protions of Fiji for Her Majesty the Queen in the mid 60's when Fiji was still a British Colony and that is when they met.

Nice to know! We went to Fiji when I was about 10 years old. Loved every second of it and nearly got struck by a gigantic falling coconut. Never thought I could have died from one of those. This is a long time ago, but I also remember boating to Beachcomber Island and walking around the whole island. Also drove around the larger islands in monsoon season and every curvy mountain road had constant switchbacks that were nothing less than deadly. Best holiday we ever had.

Cool! If you ever make it, contact me. I will coach you and you will win! The best one ever was Boston Rob. He played a "perfect"game if there ever could be one. And last season with Ozzie who should have won, was ruined by a moron too smart for his own good.
Ozzie should have taken him for a walk in the jungle.

I did not see tonites episode...f*cking power went out. I will have to watch it online again. I'd never make it on survivor. I can't swim and I don't like roughing it like that. I'd rather be on the apprentice

Yep - I have 4 or 5 viable strategies based on the situation you find yourselfs in but you're right for his circumstance Boston Rob played a near perfect game. There were a few parts of his game that were very risky and may not have worked with some better/different competitors but with people like 'federal agent' phillip how could he fail.

Yea - Fiji is truly a paradise - clearest water and most amazing reefs I have ever seen. Would like to take my wife and kid someday. My mom grew up in a tiny village called Levuka on the island of Ovalau. Most of my family has emigrated to New Zealand and Australia but a few still remain. Only two real industries in Fiji - Tourism and Sugarcane.

Really paradise. I remember the clear water, it was incredible. Too bad did not have digital cameras back then. Had to google Levuka and see it's just east of the big island. We drove from Nadi to Suva during the monsoon, but what a blast. The one thing that struck us most was just how friendly the native islanders were. They crowded our car at every stop, everybody waving and smiling. It was a real experience.

He worked at it! hard, running all over to make sure his tribe stayed loyal.
That in it self was a very good plan. Most- once out there forget why they are there. The 5 aliance is the way to do it. The girls have the right idea, but no tribe cooperation, leading to infighting, forgot why all of a sudden. I'll bet they will be split up, like all stars, and divide the men& women.
Rob had the advantage of experience. I hated him at 1st! until I saw his point. Plus winning that last immunity. that always sets the stage.
last season made me barf. sophie had no place winning. It went from the best to the worst. I'd say that was the worst ever season. I've seen all. and there was some bad ones, but that was ozzies game if not for harvard

Default almost!

well, here it is! down to the wire! Troyzan is no slouch! If he can pull it off, he can wipe out the girls. I have Kim pegged as the winner, IF Troyzan can pull it off, and the other's outside of the 4 can see he's right! It was getting sucky right up to the Troyzan winning immunity last week. Trazan is very smart, but too smart. he's playing his own game. The whole thing is as soon as they get out there, they forget why they are there. You get few who really pay attention. It must be a bitch too. Like Mariano said he was running all over the place making sure his people stayed true.

Troyzan is making himself very unlikable though and that can be dangerous. The thing is that the editing is so heavy they can take a few snippets of film here and there and craft a different impression of the competitors with the home audiene than the contestants have - I remember once seeing an article that talked about how unlikable they made Lex seem to the audience but the players actually thought very highly of him.

Yep - Fiji has the most beautiful water I have ever seen too bad that was before my scuba diving days but snorkeling and fishing the reefs was awesome, next closest thing I have seen was the water in Roatan - great for divers. Still have some cousins and an aunt and uncle in Suva which is basically the only 'real' city in Fiji.
