Are you a Democrat, a Republican, or a Redneck?
Here is a little test that will help you decide. The answer can be found by posing the following question: You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, an Islamic Terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the knife, and charges at you. You are carrying a Colt Model 1911 45 cal. automatic pistol , and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do? .................................................. .................. THINK CAREFULLY AND THEN SCROLL DOWN: Democrat's Answer : Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think? What about the kids? Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? Does the pistol have appropriate safety built into it? Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children? Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? Should I call 9-1-1? Why is this street so deserted? We need to raise taxes, have paint and weeded and make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior. This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for a few days and try to come to a consensus. .................................................. ........................... Republican's Answer: BANG! .................................................. ....................... Redneck's Answer: BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG ! Click..... (Sounds of reloading) BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! Click Daughter: 'Nice grouping, Daddy! Were those the Winchester Silver Tips or Hollow Points?! ' Son: 'Can I shoot the next one?!' Wife: 'You ain't taking that to the Taxidermist' |

Tens of millions of gun toting nuts have exactly that fantasy, yet why is that none of them actually have the fantasy fulfilled? Instead they end up charged with murder when they let alcohol and road rage mix.
I am also not so sure being an armed citizen would have helped them any in the world trade center, somehow I doubt constant vigilance would have held off the airplanes crashing into the buildings. Nor does it make me feel any safer yet when Republican red neck thinking starts a so called war on terror that has the net effect of increasing the amount of international terrorism while creating two extremely expensive quagmires. But thanks for playing Rich_Guy, the US army is short of personnel right now, you could show the courage of your convictions and enlist, free firearms come as a bonus incentive. But if you show that kind of an attitude, I doubt even the army would want you. They have more than enough Charles Grangers and Lt. Calleys dragging down their efforts as it is.

I agree. It would be nice if ppl like "da rich guy" would step up, lace up his boots, be a great american and join the marines instead of just talking tough behind a computer... The military can really use macho guys like "da rich guy"...

Since we are using 9/11 as an example, someone having a shootout with the terrorists and crashing the plane in some random location would have been preferable.

They found they needed to explode a pretty large explosion and take out a large section of the side of the plane to have any real consequence that would affect the passengers inside. |

"Tens of millions of gun toting nuts have exactly that fantasy"
Are you REALLY that stupid? 99% of us "gun toting nuts" would be very happy if we never had to pull and use a gun in our lives. EVER. |

Correct and they use special ammunition, frangible and such so if they do miss they won't puncture the aircraft fuselage.
