You're absolutely right, in your case stick with XP.

Unless you want dual boot .
Dual boot wouldn't help me since I would be spending nearly all my computer time in XP mode, but i would have to install some programs a second time into the W7 environment so it would just double the hard drive space needed.

I may have to create a dual boot for new vertical market Pro tax programs if I must but it would be a pain IMO.

as with all MS operating systems, I always wait till the first service pack comes out. I never trust those beta patches which you end up having to uninstall before installing a service pack!!

A week with Win7 on both machines and they're running sweet and quicker.
