Default What MP3 Player Do You Hook Up To Your Computer?

I had a 40gb Creative Labs, and I loved that player, but CL sucks when it comes to CS. There's an issue with the headphone jack, and CL wouldn't do anything to fix it.

I workout, and it annoyed the hell out of me when the earphone jack was loose. CL would take it back under warranty, but there was no guarantee that you would get back the same player that you sent in.

I purchased a Sandisk 8gb Fuse, and I'm very happy with it. It's so much easier than the Zen Touch, the software for the Zen was horrible to deal with. The Fuze is drag, and drop. It also lets you use a micro sd card, so I don't need a huge HD. I can put my Youtube vidz on this player, and it rawks.

I talked to Rbinck, he's going to see about adding a MP3 player section to the cell phone forum, since so many cells are MP3 players too.

I also bought a device to use in my car, it lets me hear my player through my speakers, via fm radio. It was 17.00 bucks

Okay you all. I have had a Creative Labs Zen(white) and the hard drive crashed after a month. I have an Iphone and dislike the propietary .mp4 format. It is great lossless quality, however, it's Apple's. I have a Sansa e280, 8Gb, version 1.0, and can and 2Gb of MicroSD. I gave that one to my wife about a week ago. I would have to say, other than the Zune HD, the Cowon players are wonderful. I just purchased a Cowon D2+ 16Gb touch screen mp3 player and if you're an audio enthusiasts, then go with the Cowon. I mean absolutely stunning sound with the stylus that comes with it. You can also add a 32Gb SDHC card for a whopping 48Gb total. The video is superb. The transfer is easy and the ID tagging is marvelous with media monkey. In addition, the S9 Cowon is stated to be the pinnacle of all MP3 players. What really stands out with the Cowon players si that BBE(Equalizer) that comes with the player built in. I was blown away by the sound quality of the D2+. I have had even a nice sounding Sony and Samsung MP3 player. I will tell you, I am sold on the Cowon player. I am not a spokesman for the company, but when people introduced me to this brand, I had to get one. It really does rock. Here you go. Check it out.

Hi Blckman, thanks for sharing.

How much did it cost, your link didn't tell in case others are interested.
Mine cost 69.00, not like my Zen that was 299.00 BTW it has the same sound quility as my Zen, but a little bigger than a credit card!

I'm sorry. I purchased my Cowon D2+ for $150.99 on amazon from Jetaudio directly. I purchased it as a package deal.

http://www.amazon.com/Cowon-D2-MP3-P...7408919&sr=1-2

Now that I have the Cowon D2+ and found out how great they sound. I'm sad because I should have purchased the Cowon S9 32Gb. It has an OLED screen like the ZuneHD. It was out way before the ZuneHD was out. Look at all the 4 1/2 to 5 star reviews this puppy gets. I played with it at a Consumer Electronics Show and the S9 rocks. Good luck.

Thank you for providing the link Blckman. Your player is about 100.00 more than I would want to spend. I was reading about the OLED, I'm confused. The Zune had HD radio, but the player in terms of video is still SD, yes?

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner GybBrat98. Well, I will tell you somethign about the Zune HD. It's a great player, but it didn't work to well right out of the box until Microsoft release a firmware update quickly. Actually, to answer your question about the video. The Zune can output to a television up to 720p. I'm a huge subscriber of HDNation and on one past episode the guys showed the Zune HD hooked up via a seperate desktop docking station you can purchase just for video purposes. It looked great. One last thing. I read your respone in relation to the cost. I did pay pretty good money for the Cowon, but boy are they worth every penny. Put it this way, I was getting more for cheap than I ever could with an Ipod or Zune HD. When it is all said and done, I will have 48GB of music, video, podcasts, a calculater, a notepad, and many games as well. What current generation of the Ipod or Zune you can get for that much with that overall value and package? None. Hell, I have an Iphone, and I've almost put that down other than a few podcast and just internet access. If you're really on a shoestring budget, then many people are really talking about the sansa clip. You can also try another site I won't name at this time and learn a great deal about other MP3 players. Peace....

Did you have any headphone jack issues with your Zen Touch?

No disrespect towards any forum members, but how in the hell does one discern if a 2 inch screen gives you hi-def? And how in the hell can an mp3 player sound good in any enviroment? Trying not to be a smart ass or condescending,,,but shouldn't music be delivered in the best format possible? Me can see a lot of modern day music being delivered for the beat without any artistic ability,,,but to have Pink Floyd or Clapton delivered with ear buds and mp3 format,,,,where is the RIAA when you really need them?

I disagree OB, my earbuds sound incredible. My grandpah had some old fashioned head phones, and mine sounded way better. As far as the 2 inch screen, are you saying that because this is a high def forum? There are some items in this forum that aren't high def, cars, and sd dvd players, and such.

I can hook up my Fuse to my car, it has eight speakers. Artistic ability is in the eye of the beholder, yes? My taste in music is eclectic to say the least. All my friends listen to MP3's, and we like it.

Sorry Brat,,and yes beauty is beholding to the beholder,,but a 2 inch screen may be fun for a quick you-toobie, but for anything substantial, be it SD or HD, it is severely lacking. As for MP3's and earbuds,,,they may be convenient and okay to bee-bop with, but as far as music be concerned,,,call me an old fart,,,or maybe a purist,,but me music taste is for the complete spectrum,,,not the clipped rendition. Me equates listening to MP3's to dancing in mud. You hear it, your doing it,,,just not as clean and crisp as dancing on a freshly dusted floor.
