Default Toy Story 3D

Did anyone happen to see Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3D double feature this weekend? I wanted to check it out and from all the reviews that I've read, everyone was saying it was really good. That the stories held up well after 15 years, and the 3D really enhanced the picture.

I saw it on Saturday. I thought the movies were still fun and funny and it sounded like a lot of the little kids thought so too. My take on the 3D. This was the first 3D movie I've seen, but I feel that the 3D really did seem to add depth to the movie. To clarify what I mean, I'm talking about the perception of depth, so it seemed like characters were closer to the screen and background objects further, like real life. I know you can see that in a non 3D version, but the 3D version helped make it more realistic. I thought that the 3D was good and honestly if 3D could be done right for home viewing, I think I would enjoy it.

Yea, I really like the 3D and I get what your saying about how it adds a lot of depth. It's not like the old 3D where it seemed like things were popping out of the screen, but it almost like your watching the movie through a window. It's definitely a high quality picture with some great resolution.

That's actually a great way to describe it, like watching through a window. It really was nice, I really didn't know what to expect from it. Some elements did seem like they were popping out of the screen though, which I thought was pretty cool, but that's also because it wasn't overwhelming.

Yea, it wasn't popping out of the screen as if it was trying to be gimmicky, it was more of a natural 3D. I got a kick out of hearing all the songs again, hearing some of the tracks really brought back some memories of seeing it in theaters the first time.

Thanks for that Lee. Saw that on EngadgetHD the other day. It was a good read.
