Swivel mount for new 46" Samsung LCD LEDs

cut a hole out for the power receptacle in the mount. Those new TV's are super light. Put the mount right over the power plug.

Some may argue, but thats what I would do. Could possibly work, especially since the power receptacle is recessed.

You could easily just use a hole saw on your drill and drill like a 1.5" hole directly over the 3 prongs of the plug and just plug right in.

I'd get rid of that wall plate for the component connectors too and just run the wire straight out of the wall into the TV. Assuming there is enough slack in the wall.

I don't know why people use those so much when the TV is just going to cover it up anyways. Its a better signal straight out of the wall. Won't make much difference though probably anyways.

Btw, why aren't you going plasma?

I recommend a powder coated mount for all swivel mounts. I have installed many Monoprice mounts and I have seen that paint falls off after about a year. Especially if you use the swivel a lot. Check out VMP Mounting Products. A few bucks more but why skimp on a few bucks when mounting a 3000 plus TV!
