Default Which screws to attach tv to mount?

I've just picked up a couple of second hand Sharp Aquos 26" TVs ( LC26GA6E) for the guest bedrooms. I bought them with a B-Tech BT7513 mount. Unfortunately, I don't have the 4 screws that go into the back of the TV to connect to the mount. Can anyone cast any light on which screws I should buy?? Is there a standard for all tvs?

there is no standard, but nearly all are metric M6 or M8 bolts. The actual pitch may vary so you may need to try the manufacturers web site for a full manual download, or go the the hardware store and get one of each:
M6 x 1.0 pitch
M6 x 0.75 pitch
M8 x 1.25 pitch
M8 x 1.00 pitch and see which one fits. then get get some long enough to fit the mount and not quite bottom out in the TV's threaded connectors.

Hi vanmeter. Thanks. Jeez...hadn't even thought about pitch! But I guess M6/M8 narrows it down a bit. I did try the (TV) manual but no mention of the screws...

A bit of warning here...be sure to use the shortest possible bolt that will still allow about a half inch or more of thread to screw into the TV. You could cause damage if the bolt is too long.
