Default Toshiba 52RV535U & Monoprice #3725 mount

The attached image is my approximation of how the Monoprice #3725 would fit on the Toshiba 52RV535. I was concerned using the images in the manual as a reference point that the back plate would block the ports, but clearly the image in the manual is either not to scale, or is to scale to a smaller unit.

It looks like nothing at all vital is blocked by either the mounting arms or the back bracket.

Note, the accuracy is not 100%.

I would be very surprised if there was any blockage. The worst thing I find is that some TVs require a 90 degree HDMI adapter to be able to plug the HDMI cable into the TV more effective clearance between the wall or bracket and TV.

Well, I'm new at this and if I use the manual image as a template, it looks like a 32inch wide TV plate would block the rear ports to some degree. But either the manual images are not to scale, or they are for a smaller model.

I thought that a block diagram would be handy for future users of Google.

This is the same TV i have at home and just finished mounting on the wall. None of the ports are blocked by the wall plate and you have plenty of room to plug in your cables. I would recommend plugging all cables in before you hang the TV. Its a little cramped between the wall and the TV once it is mounted.

I have some pictures attached in my other post that shows kinda what it looks like when it is done.

FINALLY mounting TV

Yes, you're pics and taking the time to post them was most helpful. They were useful enough to determine that the manual pics were not to scale. I don't pretend that I'm employing amazing accuracy, it was a sloppy job with a margin of error of 5%.

My strategy will be a tad different. I'll be going with in wall wiring using old work boxes, same thing offered in the recess mount kit, just without the recess mount. Single gang boxes are .99c at Lowes, $2.00 with increased volume. I won't be going with a recess mount since I'll be going with the articulating mount and clearance isn't an issue. I will be mounting an outlet at TV level. Much of my HD source will be from the PC, specifically the new ECS A790GXM-AD3 motherboard with a AMD Phenom II 550. Cat5 run for the CATV DVR, record HD content to DVD-R. Laptop via component.

And a generous amount of keystone jacks.

Default Toshiba REGZA 52RV535U 52-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

I have made research for other brands of HDTV, I found Toshiba REGZA 52RV535U is the best choice for 52-Inch HDTV with $1200 budget

I've got a few complaints, but all and all they are minor. The subtitles could be easier to access. I've not tried PIP if it's even a feature. It seems VGA resolution is rather limited, unless I'm doing something wrong.

The puppy is on the wall. I get about 6 inches of clearance when fully retracted, extending out 10 inches. The cable installers had to remove a prior patch to install the cable. Someone thought it was a wise idea to patch the drywall with 2x4s. The result is easy rear access for the time being leaving room to install conduit. My only real complaint was the unit doesn't offer holes for wall box access, nor does it offer wire routing. But given the price, I can live without it.

If you don't mind the construction, and the POS 640x480 camera phone pics.

Some people are from the school of measure twice cut once. I'm from the school of measure twice, double check, and use a ton of painter's tape. Even then I find with hand tools the best I can do is a margin of error of 1.5mm.

The outlet was moved to the right of the stud, leaving the stud space for A/V wire.

Fully extended

Fully retracted

Mount it self

Mount with outlet. Circuit tester says OK.

I left the 19x13 template I printed in while the wall boxes are installed.

I did notice that Home Dept carries what is termed a clock outlet. It's a recessed outlet that isn't as cool as the recessed kits offered for this form of install. I don't need one since this mount offers 6 inches of clearance.

Thanks.

My ONLY complaint is the this mount doesn't offer A/V holes. Those would be mega handy. But still given the price I'm willing to live with POWER AND A/V tastefully mounted below the mount.
