New install help
Greetings:
1st time here, I am looking for some advise and help Our Situation: Just purchased a 52" LCD (refurbished). Ordered a wall mount and started the install last night. When I removed the stand I noticed there was no 'bottom plate' as referenced to in the manual to cover the opening left in the bottom of the TV Will this be a problem? I am contacting Samsung, any other ideas where to get a replacement? I also wanted to run cables and connections in the wall ... well for the coolness factor. Any sites with some basic how-tos? We have digital cable coax feed into the room. In a small stand on the floor I was planning to have: - HD cable box - PS3 - DVD I would like to install boxes near the floor and near the TV to connect these. The wall is interior, non load bearing, standard 2x4 studs. I know how to open the sheetrock for 'old work' boxes. What baffles me is: - What cables - What plates connectors at the boxes Sorry for the long post Take Care |

Here is a link to a site with some general info about how to mount on the wall. The cables you use depend on your entire set up, receiver, dish, HD, etc. I used HDMI for everything. Behind my LCD I have 1 HDMI and a power plug, very clean and easy. If anything in your set up is not HDMI then you will have to run those cables to the rear of your TV as well. Hope this helps.
