What is a good way to run your cables from your TV on a wall mount to your components? , without putting the cables inside the wall because I am renting and I don't want to cause too much damage to be repaired later.

A friend who just wired up a phone and left the cable dangling off the wall is a bit more adventurous. After I noted it looked like spaghetti, he took a sharp carpet knife and cut a channel into the wall... stuck the cord in and plastered it. (plaster is not expensive..) if done right, you shouldn't be able to tell.
Well that might be a bit extreme, but how about a plastic pipe cut in half lengthwise or perhaps molding with a channel, painted to match the wall colour to put all the cables in... You could get a bit creative and use a Greek pillar to hold up the wall mounted TV (hiding the offending cords)? I guess that is why there is so many 'wireless' solutions offered. Post an image... perhaps you'd get more tailored suggestions. |
