Hi,
I have a Sony Bravia KDL40S2010. The manual states that it is VESA compliant with a 200x200 pattern. I bought a wall mount that states it is compatible with VESA 200x200. But the bolt pattern isn't even close. The mounting holes on my TV are about 16" apart, which is about 400mm. I think the manual for my TV is in error. Can someone enlighten me on this? Usually if I pay attention to the written instructions I'm good. Not in this case. Thanks! |

I don't think the Owners Manual states this . . . however
The Marketing Specification does state: Regulation and Standard Compliance Energy Star® Compliant: Yes VESA® Hole Spacing Compatible: Yes VESA® Hole Pitch: 200 x 200 hole pattern / M6 thread size / 14mm hole depth VESA MIS-F, C compliant displays have varied hole patterns that are spaced in 200 mm increments (e.g., 400 x 200 mm or 600 x 400 mm), using M6- or M8-threaded screws. Large displays with screens greater than 32" in size follow this variant. In practice, many displays in this class deviate from the standard in minor ways. For example, a 300 x 300 mm hole pattern is not uncommon. This is why most brackets for MIS-F-class displays are designed to handle irregular hole patterns. Sony list two different brackets for the 40"/46" display on the Owners Manual; I trust you did not get one of these. |
