I am needing help with my Surround set up. I am currently on 5.1 set up and would like to upgrade to 7.1. All ready have the Home Theater system(Onkyo TX-SR605) and the 2 extra speakers needed to set up 7.1. I just need help with placement.
I have provided a floor plan drawn up in excel real quick with the info of current setup. Need ideas on best placement of the 2 other speakers. I also provided two angle point of views with my living room(Note: my room is a little messy... I know this... just wanted to get this on quickly.) Thanks In Advance, Jeremey Norris |

Does no one have any advice.... I guess here is what I was thinking about doing. Leave the Left Surround Where it is (Maybe Lower... This is the part I need help with.) The Right Surround same height but 2'-3' to the right on the other wall around the corner just above the right couch. Then Place the Left and Right Rear Surround speakers lower and equidistant to the others but Lower.
I guess this is the best solution but I am not sure about the height. Should the L & R Rear Surround be lower or higher than the Left and Right Surround Speakers. I attached a Proposed 7.1 Floor Plan. Thanks, Jeremey Norris |
