Default Sony KDL-46W5100 Mount

I've recently purchased a Sony KDL-46W5100 for my bedroom. Along with this TV i went ahead and purchased a BYTECC BT-3260ATSX-BK Black 32" - 60" Double Aluminum Arm Extended TV Wall Mount.

The mount alone weights about 30lbs. The TV weighs in at about 55lbs. Now the wall i want to mount this on is between two rooms. I have already measured and found the studs in the wall and the mount will be able to secure to 2 studs when mounted.

Will the wall be able to hold up this amount of weight? I want to mount it specifically for the tilt feature since the TV will be sitting a little higher than normal. I just dont want to come home one day to find my brand new LCD on the floor.

Thanks

you will have no problem with this mount, as long as you use 2"-3 " lag bolts and pre-drill the holes. One stud, with one lag bolt would hold the 85 lbs., but you are using four lag bolts dispersing the weight accordingly. hang it,,enjoy it!

If you have to use a small finish nail to bang into the stud to find the exact center DO IT you dont want the lag to graze out of the side, dead center is a must.

Default Sony KDL-46W5100 Mount (Updated - Done w/ pictures)

Ok so i got it all hooked up yesterday. I didn't bother painting the walls since i plan to be moving in about 5-6 months or so. I ran all the wires through a PVC pipe i placed in the wall with bends coming out of the wall. I also have a power outlet directly behind the TV.

Was a lot easier than i had anticipated. Had my brother (weighs about 165lbs) do some pull ups on it just to make sure it was real secure.

Here are some pictures.
