I just got a Panasonic P50S1 last week. The TV is great, but occasionally we want to angle it one way or another. Wall mounting isn't an option for us, so I tried searching for a base that can swivel but have had no luck.
Any help from the gallery? Is there a similar model with a swivel base that I could try buying the base separately for? |

I found out that the base from the P50V10 will fit, which swivels, and another forum member is selling me their base that they're not using. I like this solution better than putting the whole TV on a separate turntable, but I would have gotten one of the Monoprice ones if there wasn't a Panasonic base that will be securely bolted to the TV like this.
Thanks for the help. |

Mness,
I just bought a new wall mount for my 47" LCD. I am a do it your self kind of person and let me tell you the wall mount I bought is awesome. I purchased the "Simplicity Full Motion" wall mount from Costco for $200. This product was a breeze to install. and the best part was it came with all the hardware to get the job done without having to go to HD/Lowe's for odd hardware. I was amazed when I saw every metric screw size imaginable in several different lengths. I only used 4 screws for the TV and now have a ton of different sized metric socket head cap screws to add to my screw bin. Also the mount comes with the hardware to attach/hide the wires that lead from the back of the TV so they don’t get entangled or pinched by the swiveling arms. Once installed the product moves and rotates smoothly and easily. This wall mount is well designed and strong. It is made for I believe 40" thru 55" flat panels but u could easily hang a 70" on it. I am a mechanical engineer and would venture to say you could put 300 lbs on this mount with no problems at all. It could be possible that if you go beyond the recommended size that the tilt locking feature might slip... but I doubt it. The Simplicity wall mount is a beautifully designed product that I would highly recommend and at $200 it is much cheaper then many products I saw at Best Buy, Fry's and at the smaller mom and pop TV stores in my area. Also to note... When I went to install the wall mount I ignored the installation DVD that comes with the product and just installed it from the directions. Had I watched the DVD before I started installing, I could have saved quite a bit of time. Best of luck and Regards... Scott |

Thanks Scott, but like I said, wall-mounting isn't an option in my case, due to the location of the TV. I took off my base and used a base from a P50V10 and it works perfectly.
