New models coming up for iPhone?
I'm looking to pick up an iPhone 3G S in the next few days.
I don't want to get it and find out a few weeks later something newer is coming out. Has anyone heard or know about any new iPhone models or variations coming up in the next month or so? Thanks

Well since the 3G S just came out I assumed there would not be something in the near future to outdate it so I got one anyway
 .

Now is a fine time to get an iPhone. It was released in June, and is a very nice internal upgrade from the 3G. The next revision of the iPhone will probably be a more major one (4G to work with new 4G networks in development), both internal and maybe even the design of the case. MacRumors tracks how often a product is updated, and so far the iPhone is 79 days since the update, with an average update cycle of 178 days. So what's that, about 100 days until the next update? And I would guess probably longer, as we are expecting more new things from Apple like new MacBooks, new displays (which haven't had any updates in FOREVER), and the rumored tablet.
I just ordered my 32GB GS yesterday, and am waiting for it to ship. *goes back to check at&t site* |

I just bought a refurbished one for $50, so I guess, I'm not in you guys league
The 3G just came out so wouldn't make sense for a newer model to come out now? |
