Default HTC touch pro2 (upgradable from WM 6.1 to 6.5?)

I plan on buying the HTC touch Pro2 soon (Sprint), which has windows 6.1, but windows 6.5 is coming out October 6, question is, if I buy it now with version 6.1, will I be able to upgrade it to 6.5 comes oct 6?
Or am I better off waiting until oct 6 and wait for the HTC pro2 with 6.5 already installed?

Of course, you can buy your phone now and upgrade it when windows 6.5 comes out. In fact, I am waiting to upgrade my HTC Diamond 2.

Thanks man, finally, someone gave me a straight answer to the question asked.

I've decided to wait anyway. because Verizon is selling it for $199 and Sprint is selling it for $350 after the mail-in rebate of $100, meaning I would have to pay $450 up front for that phone, so when Sprint decides to get along with the program I'll get it.
BTW: I want Sprint only for the 50 channels of TV and their great data plan.

I just got a TP2 from Verizon. With my new every 2 and a bit of whining due to poor service (along with a threat of wanting the Pre) I was able to talk them down to $99! This phone is VERY nice.

According to all the press releases of WinMo 6.5, the TP2 is listed as a phone that is compatible with 6.5. Engadget posted that AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon have all signed on to the release date of Oct 6th. BUT, the trick is, will they actually do it..... Verizon is notorious about lagging behind the curve. I fully expect the 6.5 release ROM sometime in October, of next year...LOL!
