netflix ..2 questions?

Default netflix ..2 questions?

i have a 22 inch 1080 hdtv....Wanted to get roku.2..hd or xd? 2

another big question is netflix said my router, a D-link dir-601..24.99.lol

sucks for a steady connection and may cause some re buffering,,,,,,,,I tried a first generation roku a year ago and had that problem at least once every program on all netflix and even hulu..I have cable with an average of 5mb down and 800kb up
all advice appreciated

5mbps down really should not have buffering problems on Netflix. I only have a 5.5mbps down dsl connection and my Roku XD and Roku 2 XD work great, get Neflix in HD everytime.

I'd pick the model that has an ethernet port, just to be safe.

I have used netflix on my roku box with just the hotspot on my phone and its a freakin sprint phone (pretty slow), but netflix on my roku and on my ps3 always seems very good a buffering before play (first post!)

You should be fine with 5mbps. I had that before with my Roku and had no issues with anything. I have upgraded since but it was because I got a good deal not because I needed to.

You will have to forward port 80443 on your D-link and you will not have buffering issues as you say. As he says, even with a 5 Mbps, you'll be able to play without rebuffering.

5 down is ONE thing. An "AVERAGE of 5 down" is quite another.

If you drop down to 2 or 3 in the course of a movie stream you will have problems.
