Default Recycling/Retasking Zinwell WB68

We're pulling off DirecTV yet still have all our equipment still on/in the house.

Currently we have a Zinwell WB68 as our multi-switch and I was wondering if I hooked up our HD Antenna to it would it cleanly route the signal through the eight lines hooked up to it?

If the answer is yes - what's the best way to use the WB68?

If the answer is no - what should we use instead?

Peace, and thanks for any insight you can lend.

The Zinwell unit is powered by the satellite receiver and requires no additional power source (such as a low voltage transformer) to operate.

Since you are removing the Satellite receiver, the Zinwell will not work.

It is made for receiving Satellite reception and not for OTA reception.

Anyone else want to add anything?

I wondered as much since I couldn't find even a weak signal off that line - any advice what to use in its place?

It all depends on what you want to do.

Do you want to power your whole house with a Over the Air antenna signal or do you just want television in one or two rooms.

If every room is wired with good coax cable, you could buy a good distribution amplifier - that would take the signal you have and distribute it throughout the whole house.

If the wire is too short that goes up to the roof, I would eliminate it and take all the old wires out and run one new wire to the antenna - down to the distribution amplifier.
