Default Something i did with my indoor antenna

I bought a triquest antenna at a local big lots for $2.99 and I attached it to my digital converter. I noticed that it wasn't consistently receiving channels like my older antenna that I had previously. So I decided to try something. What I did is I removed the RG59 connector from the antenna and I replaced it inside by attaching a 300/75 ohm transformer to the two screws of the rabbit ears, and then one wire from the uhf loop to the rabbit ear screws. I then connected a RG6 cable to the 300/75 ohm transformer. Upon connecting my new antenna connection to the converter I noticed a night and day difference in the reception quality. My $2.99 antenna became as good as a $10-$15 antenna sold at different stores. Since then I've noticed that some of these cheap antennas lack a good connection to the tv or converter boxes. One can actually change the wiring and see a difference in their reception quality for cheap. So don't throw away the good hardware in these cheap antennas, just change the wiring, fool around with them and you'll be surprised with the difference it makes.

Bummer... I thought this thread had something to do with the over-turning of prop 8... "or things such as that"
