I've ordered a Channel Master 9521a rotor to position a CM 4228 ant.
I'm using an LG 4200a tuner and was wondering if I could have just 1 remote change the station on the tuner AND the CM 9521a at the same time. Could the LG 4200a remote control the rotor? Or do I need a programable universal like the Home Theater Master MX-500? Having to use 2 remotes to change the channel seems silly. Mike |

You have a AUX button on remote but it's for cd are audio equip.
You can go to this site and download the manuel. I believe you are out of luck as far as the 4200 remote. http://us.lge.com/www/support/index.jsp |

I have the 4200A and the 4228 Channel master but luckily don't need a rotor.
I recently bought a MX-700 (which you can program via your PC) and now have an easy-to-use set up. I definitely would recommend a Universal Remote with Macros and PC programming capabilities - you'll turn on your TV with one button and flip stations with single buttons (with the rotor repositioining being part of the macro). I hope your rotor has IR. My remote also controls an A-B switch since I feed both a cable and an OTA feed in to the 4200A. peter |

The best thing to do is to get a programmable remote to control everything and retire all of the remotes that came with your equipment.
The MX-850 is recommended. |

I bought mine with Buy it Now on eBay for about $165 including shipping. If you want authorized it is much more. It wasn't worth the extra $$$ for the MX-850, and I hear that the MX-800 didn't improve much at all from the MX-700 (except RF).
What does the MX-850 go for these days including its little base station? Peter p.s the MX-700's IR transmitter sounds out a super powerful beam at a very wide angle so I can always get all my components in one click. That was something I had been worried about and never read any comments from users. |

Looks like about $360 for the MX-850 plus another $100 for the base station.... so close to 1/2G for the setup! Yeah, glad I got the MX-700 which does all I want, (except remember states)

I bought a $30 One for All Kameleon off e-bay ($99 BestBuy)- I haven't found anything it won't run yet. Except flush the toilet,,that's still a manual job. It can hold 3 macros with numerous sub-macros, vibration light-up, etc. it's programmable via phone line and also over PC (have to make a cable). for those of us on a super tight budget I would highly recommend it. The ideal remote for your rotor would be programmable to the point where you switch channels - the antenna would rotate at the same time.
