Default DTV set-up help Redondo Beach, CA

Hey guys, I need some help.

I have a Sony KF-42WE610 and Adelphia basic cable currently. I live in Redondo Beach, CA and was looking into putting an outdoor antenna up to pick up the OTA DTV channels for sports. I am trying to figure out what type of antenna and receiver to use. After a little research I was thinking of a Winegard HD7082p, but would this be overkill ?? The other problem is I have no idea what kind of receiver to run. I also what to keep my basic cable just add the HD set-up to it. Thanks in advance for all the input.

For a STB buy the latest from Samung on test got much better results than the top performer LG 4200a.

I will be buying one to test. Currently have a LG4200a and a Sumsung T451.

Both best Buy and Circuit City carries them $180.00. Much cheaper and better than the older models from LG and Samsung.

Thanks for the input....

So, I take it that the antenna should be fine. Not to much, not too little ?

If anyone else has something to add please post. Especially if someone has experience with the Samsung DTB-H260F mentioned by Yaamon.
