Hey Tiger,

Called Mike at Cumberland...no single channel VHF antennas. He does have the high band (7-13) VHF's though.

If I get one, I'll just go through Solidsignal as I could use a couple of other things as well.

Jim.

Cumberland has everything that you need, and the freight will be a LOT cheaper coming from Ct than from the MidWest

Hey Tiger,

Any benefit to tilting a Winegard YA-1713, if at all possible? If so, how would you go about tilting it?

if this is a ch7-13 antenna... would be a much better antenna for your situation and would explore the opportunity. the gain will be around 10 for the ya1713 and 13 db for this!

the antenna is a hot one

Yup. MidWest DXr pointed them out. They're friggin' HUGE!!! I'd need a tower to support that sucker! Not to mention the exterior design consultant-aka: wife, would kill me!

lets put it into perspective.

the Funke psp 1922 antenna is 158.5" long and has less spread than my 8200p which is 177" long.

it is 19" shorter than my 8200p and 58" longer than the ya1713. we are taking 13-14 db gain vs 10 if that.

I fit my set up on a mast 5.5' over the rotor. 1 ft over the motor spaced just under 4' apart.

your wife will be more pissed off if the ya1713 does not work. tower not necessary mount like mine. with emt conduit braces. that thing has been there since 1984 and never budged.

3 hdp 269's.

added a few filters ...100.9 mhz fm trap for the fm tower up the road and vhf band pass specially made to pass ch 2-6 and 7-13 with a fm band stop built in. Even sat in the lab while they calibrated the filter for me. It is great to have 3 filter companies in town.

Not happy with the jointenna performance. Going to try something different with more isolation and improved filtering. The filters aint cheap like they used to be.

also removed the 10' winegard satellite dish setup from the side of the garage and the cm4228 out of the living room. took about 40 minutes just to remove the 4.5" od schedule 80 pipe. Borrowed a dish crane and its an end of an era.

spring 2009...remove the hd8200P and may install a vip 306.

but first... clean up the wiring mess and maybe watch some tv . Used a half bag of compression fittings in that pile of spaghetti alone.

And yes I have trees...80 footers behind and sides.

Hello, I'm a big newbee here. Just bought an HD TV for my new house. I saw the Prescription for deep fringe reception and was wondering where is the best website to order these antennas from? I have done many Google searches for the Wade-Delhi VIP-306 and can't find them. Most of my stations will be about 30 to 35 miles away. Thanks for any input ahead of time.

If you are 30-35 miles from the transmitters, chances are good that you don't need so extreme an antenna system as the deep-fringe prescription. If you give us your zip code: we can better advise you...

Another noobie looking for antenna advice here. I am in zip 96107, in the Reno DMA. As you can see, I am 60-80 miles, almost due south, from the transmitter locations. I am on a hillside with direct line-of-site to the main transmitter site.

I am on Dish network, with a model 622 receiver connected to 2 tv sets. I have a +/- 30 foot pole outside, but no antenna on it at present. I would like to be able to get network HD, which Dish does not offer here.

Here are my antennaweb stats, based on my actual location.

green - vhf KTVN-DT 2.1 CBS RENO NV 322° 59.5 13
* green - vhf KRNV-DT 4.1 NBC RENO NV 322° 59.5 7
blue - uhf K23DT 23 MNT TAHOE CITY CA 322° 59.2 23
blue - vhf KTVN 2 CBS RENO NV 330° 52.7 2
blue - vhf KOLO 8 ABC RENO NV 322° 59.3 8
violet - uhf KREN 27 CW RENO NV 322° 59.3 27
violet - vhf KRXI 11 FOX RENO NV 326° 78.0 11

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Bob
